Musk followers considered a joke but "unavailable waitin hours of the product lift-off".

Mexico: Musk tweeted the idea of "Teslaquila" on April fool's day 2018, which many of his considered  the American entrepreneur joked that the Tesla had gone "completely and totally bankrupt".

Six months later, Musk filed an application with the us patent and trademark office to trademark "Teslaquila".

Over two years after filing for the trademark, the drink has now launched under the new and simpler, name of Tesla Tequila, which is available to purchase on the brand's website for the costly sum of $250 per bottle experience that was out of stock within hours.

Tesla inc, on Thursday launched its own brand of Tequila on the electric car maker's website, an exclusive premium drink 100% de agave tequila añejo aged in French oak barrels, featuring a dry fruit and light vanilla nose with a balanced cinnamon pepper finish. 40% ABV/750ml and only available in select States in the U.S.

Musk is not short of eccentric ideas.

Also he launched tech startup Neuralink - To Develop implants that connect human brains with computer via AI.
